ABOUT CEED FOUNDATION

WHO WE ARE

CEED FOUNDATION (Chibuisi Empowerment and Education Development Foundation) is a faith-based non-governmental, non-political organisation founded to help individuals, communities and nations lead purposeful lives in the service of the Lord and humanity. We’re working to provide quality education to vulnerable children; and support low-income families achieve their dreams through quality education, entrepreneurial development, youth empowerment and skill acquisition.

We’re a community committed to spreading the love of God, supporting less privileged children get quality education, and empowering young people and their families. We do these by creating and transmitting entrepreneurial and business knowledge based on a new conception of the human person and economic activity relevant to emerging entrepreneurs. According to available statistics, six out of every ten Nigerian children under 18 years’ experience some form of physical, emotional, or sexual violence before the age of 18. These frequent cases of sexual violence against children in our society are disturbing, though largely unreported. It’s in response to the above challenges that CEED Foundation exist.

Our philosophy is that by equipping young people with quality education, skills, tools and networks, these individuals can build successful businesses that will offer employment to the teeming masses of the unemployed and less privileged in Africa.

Our Vision

CEED FOUNDATION strives to be a world-class social transformation organisation that will have a significant impact on nation-building by providing less privileged children with quality, free and subsidised education, skills and resources they need to become agents of change in their communities through capacity-building, leadership development, economic and social transformation and supporting less privileged families to become self-reliant and contribute to societal change.

Our Mission

  • To foster social and economic development by promoting true values and projecting positive attitudes that will set young people on the path to attaining maximum success in all areas of their lives.
  • To create a platform for social networking, capacity building, integration and leadership in fear of God.
  • Educating, empowering, and helping young people build purpose-driven lives and excellence-oriented organisations will increase their efficiency as change agents.
  • To raise exceptional leaders and managers with integrity that will transform their world, become empowered agents of change in their homes, schools and communities and create positive change in their immediate environment.
  • To provide support for people in need, expose emerging entrepreneurs to investment opportunities and award/recognise emerging entrepreneurs who have developed and implemented innovative solutions to social challenges or started successful businesses within their communities.

Our Target

It may take small efforts to bring about visible Impact. However, it does take great courage to shoulder the responsibility of making a difference.

We’re passionate about influencing society and spearheading a movement aimed at proffering solutions and suggesting measures in awareness and security to discourage the incidences of lack of education, sexual violence and abuse against children.

Our Commitment

Our conviction that positive change in human history has been evolved or initiated by individuals who, at one time or the other, became dissatisfied with the status quo and did something extra to provide solutions and answers. We believe every nation’s future lies in her youth’s strength; therefore, we seek to bring renewed hope and values to our young people. We also believe that human capital forms the bedrock upon which productivity rests; we are passionate people committed to promoting social change, mentoring emerging entrepreneurs, transmitting leadership skills and entrepreneurial knowledge.

Our Justification

The youths in Africa constitute the highest population bracket in age segmentation. This significant fact also implies that the future of our continent depends largely on this population. Although captains of industry and technocrats complain of dearth of quality manpower to propel the needed growth in the various sectors of the economy because the much-flaunted growth in our system has not in any way supported the education sector, which ought to serve as an incubator for the accelerated development of our youths and the real service sector of the economy. We believe that for us to make maximum progress, education has to go beyond our institutions’ four walls; what is required is intensive personal development through knowledge transfer, networking, and mentorship.
