CEED Vision
Community youth, after working with CEED Project teachers, look at the world around them to see how global changes and issues can impact them and their communities. They make educated predictions, plan for change, and have systems in place that allow them to successfully work together. They act in ways that are in the best interest of their community.
CEED Mission
To provide an academic and practical life education that helps students learn to practice looking after, enhancing and protecting the best interests of their community.
CEED Philosophy
The key to success in education is the knowledge, disposition and methods of the teachers, administrators and parents who are working with the young community members. - Look at the community as a textbook for values, culture, learning and development opportunities
- Understand the relationships between curriculum and the application of skills and knowledge in everyday life.
- Understand the scope and sequence of curricula
- Have a myriad of methods and strategies that help students relate what they are learning to real life
- Look at each student as an individual that can offer talents and skills
- Assess students for academic and social needs
